1-2 Video Conference Interviews Position Summary Triple Crown is seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace and defense manufacturing initiatives focused on additive manufacturing, 3D technologies, and process optimization. This role combines expertise in 3D printing and scanning technologies, CAD-based design, materials engineering, and manufacturing process development. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate advanced manufacturing technologies and improve production efficiency, quality, and scalability. Key Responsibilities3D Equipment & CAD Design Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 3D printing and 3D scanning equipment. Design and develop 3D models, tooling, and fixtures using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. Perform dimensional inspection and quality verification of manufactured components. Stay current with emerging additive manufacturing technologies and digital fabrication methods. Evaluate and recommend new materials and technologies for additive manufacturing applications. Materials & Process Engineering Provide technical expertise in metallic and non-metallic materials, including alloys, polymer matrix composites, and structural bonding processes. Develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing processes and material applications. Create and execute test plans, validation activities, and technical reports. Partner with design and engineering teams to ensure material compliance and manufacturability. Process Optimization & Manufacturing Integration Develop and improve manufacturing processes involving additive manufacturing and advanced fabrication technologies. Support implementation and qualification of new manufacturing equipment and technologies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. Maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing records. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a subject matter expert (SME) supporting engineering and manufacturing teams in resolving technical challenges. Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to support manufacturing readiness. Conduct training sessions for team members on operation and best practices related to additive manufacturing technologies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field. Minimum 2+ years of experience in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on Additive Manufacturing. Hands-on experience with 3D printing equipment, 3D scanning systems, and CAD software. Strong knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials, composites, alloys, and structural bonding processes. Experience with process development, manufacturing optimization, and technical problem-solving. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications SolidWorks experience preferred. Aerospace or Defense industry experience preferred. AS9100 experience preferred. Familiarity with material qualification programs and statistical data analysis is a plus. Experience supporting advanced manufacturing technology integration and capital equipment implementation.
Pay:
$60.00 - $65.00 per hour
