Job Summary:
\n\nThe Senior Manufacturing Engineer position utilizes a broad range of knowledge, education, skills, and talents to initiate change and contribute in a significant manner to the goals and objectives of Production Engineering, Operations, and the Company.\n\n
Responsibilities and Tasks:
\n \n\n
  • Ability to obtain US DOD security Clearance
  • US Citizenship required\n \n\n
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.\n \n\n
  • Project lead for build process and documentation, configuration changes, methods, and tools for production programs.\n \n\n
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, quality engineers, and production personnel, to ensure smooth production operations and timely delivery of products.\n \n\n
  • The development and presentation of data, proposals, and projects to a diverse group of personnel.\n \n\n
  • Lead and participate in process improvement projects, utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve productivity, and enhance product quality.\n \n\n
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.\n \n\n
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.\n \n\n
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).\n \n\n
  • Train and mentor junior manufacturing engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.\n \n\n
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in manufacturing technology, processes, and industry best practices, and implement relevant changes to improve manufacturing processes.\n \n\n
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in manufacturing processes.\n \n\n
  • Coordinate between engineering, production, and management for the effective and efficient manufacture of the product and delivery to the customer.\n \n\n
  • Support outsourcing and make\/buy decisions.\n \n\n
  • Transfer of building processes from\/to other facilities.\n \n\n
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education, Experience\/Knowledge & License\/Certification:
\n \n\n
  • A master's degree is preferred.\n \n\n
  • A bachelor's degree is required.\n \n\n
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma.\n \n\n
Specific Degree Field Required:
Engineering\n \n\n
  • 7 + years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering Role, preferably in a Senior or Leadership position\n \n\n
  • 5 + years of experience in a highly regulated industry, such as Aerospace or Medical.\n \n\n
  • Training Pre-requisites (Within one year of taking position):\n\n \n\n
  • ESD\n \n\n
  • Safety Training, as dictated by the
