FLT Operative - Manufacturing Environment Chesterfield Area £13+ per hour + Overtime Temp to Perm Opportunity Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced FLT Operative to join a well-established manufacturing and engineering business in the Chesterfield area. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with forklift, warehouse, dispatch or materials handling experience gained within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments. We are particularly interested in candidates who are comfortable handling heavier products and materials and are looking for a long-term career opportunity. What's on Offer? Temp to perm opportunity after 12 weeks £13+ per hour Overtime available at enhanced rates Day shift hours Stable, long-term opportunity Supportive working environment Career development opportunities Key Responsibilities Operating Counterbalance and/or Reach FLT equipment Loading, unloading and moving stock safely around site Booking in deliveries and preparing products for dispatch Accurately locating, organising and controlling stock Carrying out stock checks and maintaining inventory accuracy Performing visual quality inspections Handling industrial products and heavier materials safely and efficiently Supporting warehouse, production and operational teams as required Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment The Ideal Candidate Previous FLT experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment Valid Counterbalance and/or Reach FLT licence preferred Experience handling heavier materials, products or components Good stock control and warehouse awareness Strong attention to detail and safety standards Reliable, proactive and team-oriented approach Looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing business Interviews are taking place shortly for suitable candidates.
