Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with foundational knowledge of air compressors and quality assurance processes and tools. This position supports the development and implementation of quality control systems, monitors and inspects products and processes, and ensures compliance with established standards. Works under the supervision of the Director of Operations to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. Responsibilities 1. Quality Management Systems Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 or other applicable standards. 2. Quality Control Testing Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections using precision measurement tools to verify products meet quality and safety requirements. Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Process Quality Control (PQC) Quality Assurance (QA) 3. Data Collection & Analysis Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, defects, and improvement opportunities. 4. Documentation Maintain accurate records of inspection results, process changes, and quality actions. Assist in developing procedures, work instructions, and inspection methods. 5. Compliance Support Ensure products comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain calibration records and verify measurement equipment is within tolerance. Participate in internal audits and support external quality audits. 6. Problem Solving Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues. Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). 7. Continuous Improvement Assist in developing and implementing initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency. 8. Reporting Prepare and present quality reports to the Senior Engineer and management.Requirements:
Technical Skills Knowledge of air compressors and manufacturing processes Familiarity with quality tools (Lean, Six Sigma) Statistical Process Control (SPC) Understanding of ISO standards Attention to Detail Ability to detect defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from specifications Problem Solving Ability to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions Communication Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate with production and engineering teams Teamwork Ability to work effectively with cross-functional departments Software Proficiency Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Basic knowledge of quality software (e.g., Minitab or similar systems) Education & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or Quality Management Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or engineering environment preferred Preferred Certifications ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Six Sigma Green BeltISO 9001
