About the

I suzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to build a new, state-of-the-art production facility in Greenville County, SC. This 1 million-square-foot plant will support both internal combustion and electric vehicle production and is expected to create over 700 jobs in the region. Position Summar yWe are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer (Process & Methods) to support vehicle production operations by developing, implementing, and maintaining efficient assembly processes and standardized work methods. This role is responsible for ensuring production readiness, supporting new model launches, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, safety, productivity, and cost performance .The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to establish robust manufacturing processes and support ongoing operational excellence . Essential Duties and Responsibiliti esDevelop and implement standardized assembly processes to support safe, efficient, and high-quality productio n.

Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentatio n.

Plan and coordinate facility, tooling, jig, and equipment readiness for new model launches and engineering change s.

Support production activities across multiple vehicle platforms and manufacturing program s.

Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly process issues and implement corrective action s.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing methods and production performanc e.

Manage technical documentation, production databases, and engineering drawings related to manufacturing processe s.

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost reduction, throughput, and cycle time improvement s.

Participate in lean manufacturing and error-proofing initiative s.

Validate process changes through testing and production trial s.

Assist with training production associates on new processes and work method s.

Support annual model changes and implementation of engineering modification s.

Perform other duties as assigne d. Qualificati onsRequi redBachelor's degree in Engineering, Production Management, or a related technical fie ld.

Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within an automotive manufacturing environme nt.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production metho ds.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and dimensional toleranc es.

Experience developing process documentation, SOPs, and work instructio ns.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Exc el.

Strong communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skil ls.

Prefer redAutomotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experien ce.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Toyota Production System (TPS) principl es.

Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, or SolidWor ks.

Familiarity with ERP and MES syste ms.
