Job Description
Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Greenville, South Carolina . Overview The manufacturing engineer will be responsible for generating and maintaining CNC programs, working with various machine controls and ensuring program accuracy before production. The role requires supporting shop floor operations, troubleshooting, and providing training to operators and programmers. Responsibilities Generate and maintain CNC programs utilizing NX-CAM or other software, including multi-axis milling, turning, grinding, and EDM. Program 3, 4, or 5-axis machines such as
VMC, VBM, VTL, HBM, HMC, EDM
(wire, sinker, fast hole). Work on Okuma, Haas, Siemens, and Fanuc controls to verify programs prior to release on the shop floor using Vericut. Experience with high-level machine tool controls, sub-routine (macro), Renishaw probing routine, variable-based programming, and CLM (closed loop machining). Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with shop math skills in geometry and trigonometry. Experience machining high-temperature superalloys for aerospace components. Provide CNC related support and training to manufacturing engineers, operators, and programmers. Support daily CNC programming and troubleshooting on the shop floor. Work effectively both individually and as part of a team within a matrixed organization. Adapt to a fast-paced environment and drive positive change when appropriate. Qualifications Relevant experience in CNC programming and manufacturing engineering. Experience with NX-CAM or similar software. Knowledge of CNC machine controls such as Okuma, Haas, Siemens, Fanuc. Proficiency in shop math, geometry, and trigonometry. Experience with high-temperature superalloys in aerospace or similar industries. We thank all applicants for their interest.
