Manufacturing Engineer Location:
North Charleston, SC Pay:
$52.00/hr
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing and operational efficiency initiatives through process evaluation, workflow analysis, layout updates, and production optimization. This role is responsible for researching and analyzing manufacturing operations, improving production methods, and supporting facility and workstation design efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with AutoCAD and simulation software, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Key Responsibilities Evaluate manufacturing stations, workflows, and operational projects to improve efficiency and productivity Update and maintain facility and production layouts using AutoCAD and related software Conduct time studies, motion studies, and workflow analysis to establish production standards and improve operational performance Analyze maintenance, production, and manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, formulas, and technical specifications to support production and quality standards Collaborate with engineering and management teams to determine quality, reliability, and process improvement initiatives Review production logs, process sheets, and specification documents to ensure compliance with quality standards Assist with planning work assignments based on staffing levels, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays Prepare charts, graphs, diagrams, and reports related to workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and equipment utilization Observe production operations and equipment usage to ensure adherence to quality and operational standards Evaluate production data and generate reports identifying trends, deviations, and opportunities for process improvements Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and operational assessments Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering discipline Minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial engineering experience Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and production analysis Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and 3D simulation software Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting manufacturing facility layouts and workstation optimization Familiarity with production planning, material handling, and process simulation tools Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments EOE (including Disability/Veterans) Apply for this job Copy link ✓ Thanks for sharing!
