Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer (Product Design & Development) Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and optimization of innovative equipment solutions. In this role, you will apply engineering principles and technical expertise to invent, design, document, build, and test mechanical systems while collaborating closely with cross‑functional engineering teams. This position offers hands‑on involvement in product development, prototyping, and performance improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Apply engineering principles to analyze data and develop CAD models that optimize product designs and improve performance. Invent, design, document, build, and test new solutions for assigned product lines using industry‑standard CAD tools. Create prototype parts and assemblies utilizing SolidWorks, PDMWorks, ECN tools, and other design platforms. Collaborate within a team environment to meet project goals, timelines, and performance metrics. Test and validate design changes to enhance machine performance, reliability, durability, and serviceability. Identify and troubleshoot root causes of manufactured or purchased component failures and recommend corrective actions. Develop and execute test plans, submit formal corporate test requests, oversee test execution, and analyze results to provide clear recommendations. Build strong working relationships across engineering functions to successfully execute projects and expand technical knowledge of organizational systems and processes. Support production by responding quickly to technical questions or issues and providing effective, timely solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agricultural, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including strength of materials, fatigue, hydraulics, electronics, engine systems, statistics, and manufacturability. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and durability testing concepts. Ability to create robust designs, identify risks early in the design process, and recognize opportunities for design commonality. Proficiency in CAD and related engineering documentation tools. Hands‑on mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, drill press, lathe, band saw, and basic assembly equipment. Proven ability to manage time and resources effectively while supporting internal customers and production needs. Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience working in a manufacturing or heavy equipment environment Familiarity with engineering change control processes Comfort working on cross‑functional teams and supporting concurrent projects Benefits Eligibility requirements apply and may vary based on job classification and length of employment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
