Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is part of a team that is responsible for designing, improving, and overseeing production processes to ensure efficient, cost- effective, and high- quality manufacturing. This role works closely with production, quality, and design teams to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Testing and monitoring machinery to make sure it is in good working order and can operate safely Installing new equipment to improve a company's manufacturing processes Designing new equipment or operational procedures Troubleshooting machines to resolve breakdowns or faults Gathering data and compiling reports to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing procedures Establish a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project Analyzes product designs for best method of manufacture Directs the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes Provides technical support for specific plant operations Evaluate input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions Keep abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise Actively identify new areas for learning and take advantage of learning opportunities Support the purchase and installation of new equipment Evaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment. Provides technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with Lean and CI practices Strong problem solving and analytical skills Self reliant Proficiency with engineering software and tools
