Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our clients dynamic production team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in industrial engineering, process engineering, and mechanical knowledge to develop innovative solutions that support continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced manufacturing systems and ensure the seamless operation of our production lines. Duties Develop and refine manufacturing processes, including plastics injection molding, welding, fabrication, and assembly line operations, to improve productivity and product quality. Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to create detailed schematics and design tooling for manufacturing applications. Program and troubleshoot robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate production tasks and enhance operational efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis on production issues, identify underlying problems, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with process engineers and industrial engineers to optimize workflows using lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Prepare project schedules for process upgrades or new equipment installations, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Oversee the integration of industrial equipment such as vision inspection systems and CNC machinery into existing manufacturing processes. Develop technical documentation including schematics, CAD drawings, and process flow diagrams to support manufacturing operations. Support factory experience initiatives by ensuring compliance with
ISO 9001
standards and other quality management systems. Lead efforts in tooling design, fabrication, and maintenance to support assembly lines and fabrication processes. Program CNC machines using CAM programming techniques while adhering to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precision manufacturing. Implement safety protocols related to robotics, welding, CNC programming, and industrial equipment operation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; advanced degree required. Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with exposure to assembly lines, robotics, fabrication, or tooling. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo. Hands-on experience with CNC programming (including CAM), robot programming, PLCs, and vision inspection systems. Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes and industrial equipment maintenance. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement practices, and
ISO 9001
standards. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively using structured problem-solving techniques. Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Strong communication skills for collaborating across cross-functional teams including process engineering and quality assurance.
