Job Description

Overview Cummings Electrical is hiring a BIM/VDC Engineer for our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX. Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC's and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more. Responsibilities Create detailed 3D models and assemblies of electrical equipment and products using AutoCAD Inventor. Produce complete and accurate production drawing packages for use by the production and prefabrication teams. Experience with Electrical layouts, read and interpret Blueprints and Electrical schematics. Interpret design concepts, markups, and technical specifications to develop buildable models and drawings. Ensure models and drawings comply with internal design standards, quality expectations, and production capabilities. Revise and update drawings based on feedback from project teams or production personnel. Work closely with the Product Engineering team to improve design processes and standards. Assist in the development of templates, libraries, and standard parts within AutoCAD Inventor to drive efficiency. Support the resolution of design-related challenges during fabrication or installation. Qualifications Associate's Degree or higher in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting or product design using AutoCAD Inventor. Proficiency in developing 3D models and production drawings. Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD 2D is a plus. Knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC components is highly preferred. Ability to interpret Electrical layouts, blueprints construction drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in electrical construction, manufacturing, or prefabrication environments. Familiarity with fabrication methods and production processes. Experience creating equipment models for modular or prefabricated assemblies.
