Job Description
Job Title:
BIM Specialist Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Specialist to join our dynamic team. The role involves creating and maintaining detailed 3D BIM models across various disciplines including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing using advanced tools like Revit and AutoCAD. Responsibilities Develop and maintain comprehensive 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and other engineering disciplines. Perform clash detection, model coordination, and constructability reviews to proactively identify and resolve design conflicts during early design and construction phases. Lead BIM coordination efforts on multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring seamless integration of in-house models and external consultant deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to establish, implement, and maintain BIM standards and protocols. Serve as the primary BIM resource for project teams, resolving technical issues and optimizing BIM processes to support project success. Partner with design and construction teams to maintain a living BIM model that evolves through construction and culminates in a complete, accurate as-built model. Lead the transition of BIM workflows from third-party providers to in-house operations, including data migration, process documentation, and team training. Produce accurate construction documentation, quantity takeoffs, and visualizations to support bidding, procurement, and field execution. Troubleshoot BIM-related technical issues and recommend software, tool, and process improvements to increase efficiency and model reliability. Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide BIM expertise that informs design decisions, improves coordination, and mitigates project risk. Essential Skills Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM. Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management. 3+ years of hands-on experience as a BIM Specialist or Modeler in a construction or engineering environment. Experience in architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural design. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in BIM coordination on large-scale, high-rise projects. Proven experience modeling across multiple disciplines including architecture, structural, and MEP systems. Strong preference for candidates with high-rise construction experience and ownership of BIM coordination through construction administration on complex, large-scale projects. Experience supporting projects in aerospace, high-tech manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities. Advanced proficiency in BIM authoring and coordination tools, including Revit (advanced) and related plugins. Working knowledge of Dynamo or similar scripting tools for automation is a plus. BIM-related certifications preferred, such as Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit Architecture, Structure, or MEP) or the AGC BIM Certificate. Familiarity with advanced BIM integrations, including reality capture technologies, VR/AR visualization tools, and cloud-based collaboration platforms such as Autodesk BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). Background in architectural or engineering design, or a closely related technical field. Working knowledge of structural analysis tools and the integration of BIM data for structural engineering applications. Experience with Siemens NX is a plus. Work Environment Join a fast-growing team within a great organization that offers the opportunity to be involved in various aspects of projects, rather than being confined to a single area. The work environment is collaborative and innovative, promoting the use of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bastrop, TX.
