Job Description

P2:3 Consulting is seeking an experienced Aquatic Design Engineer to assist with the design, review, coordination, and engineering of commercial and residential aquatic facilities, waterparks, pools, and related systems. This position will work closely with ownership, operations teams, contractors, architects, and municipalities to develop and review construction plans related to pool structures, plumbing systems, filtration systems, hydraulics, and site integration. Responsibilities Review and develop pool and aquatic construction plans Prepare or oversee hydraulic and plumbing calculations Coordinate with architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies Assist with permitting and code compliance Review structural, plumbing, and mechanical components of aquatic projects Stamp and seal plans where applicable and permitted by licensure Ensure plans comply with local, state, and health department requirements Support construction teams during project execution and troubleshooting Provide recommendations for operational efficiency, safety, and long-term maintenance Preferred Qualifications Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Background in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Aquatic Engineering Experience with commercial pools, waterparks, splash pads, or aquatic facilities Strong understanding of pool hydraulics, filtration systems, pump sizing, and plumbing design Familiarity with health department and code compliance requirements Experience reviewing or preparing construction documents for permitting Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with teams and clients Preferred Experience Commercial aquatic facility design Waterpark or municipal aquatic projects Pool plumbing and hydraulic systems Structural pool shell design AutoCAD and/or Revit experience Knowledge of Texas permitting and engineering requirements is a plus About P2:3 Consulting P2:3 Consulting specializes in waterpark operations, development, management, and consulting services across multiple aquatic facilities throughout Texas and surrounding markets.
