Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer Forney, Texas Days or Nights $35-$47 per hour Industrial Automation Manufacturing We are working with a rapidly growing manufacturer who are looking to add an experienced Automation & Controls Engineer to their team in Forney, Texas. This is a key position supporting highly automated production equipment Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, commissioning, and optimization of automation and controls systems Serve as the site SME for PLCs, robotics, vision systems, SCADA, and controls technologies Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for manufacturing equipment Support production line performance, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives Develop and lead FMEA studies and risk assessments Mentor and support technicians and engineers in controls and automation technologies Maintain and update electrical schematics, controls documentation, and change records Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for automation component selection and procurement Participate in FAT and SAT activities for new equipment and systems Support integration of SCADA, MES, QMS, WMS, EAM, TPM, and EMS systems Ensure compliance with ISO, ANSI, and RIA standards Work closely with overseas engineering teams on future automation projects and controls standardization Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 3-5 years of automation and controls experience within manufacturing Strong experience with PLC systems, preferably Siemens Experience with SCADA systems and HMI interfaces Ability to read and create electrical schematics and control wiring diagrams
