Job Description :
Client is looking to hire an Automation Engineer II to join our Engineering Manufacturing team in Fort Worth, TX. As an Automation Engineer II, you will primarily support the integration and deployment of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES). In this role you will work closely with the MES Ops Team to adhere to a project schedule integrating various machines/processes into the MES system for manufacturing. The engineer serves as a technical bridge between manufacturing operations, quality, automation, IT, and validation teams. Primarily the integration will focus on the PLC programming and OPC connection to the Siemens Opcenter MES system.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages the installation of automation systems while ensuring safety, and validating the automated system for adherence to requirements, CGMPs, and intended system operation. Supports Automation Technicians in situations where troubleshooting or technology may fall outside of their area of expertise. Interacts with production supervisors/managers to identify areas to improve equipment throughput, flexibility, quality, safety, and/or reliability. Plans and executes engineering project work with minimal supervision. Troubleshoots equipment/process control systems and change control activities. Programs PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems. Specifically A-B PLCs and Ignition SCADA Designs and implements modifications to the existing manufacturing equipment that will improve the operational efficiencies.

Specifically A-B PLCs and Ignition SCADA systems MES Programming/Integration (PLCs, SCADA, & OPC) Strong understanding of: MES concepts, Manufacturing processes and equipment, PLC-based automation and machine data collection Lead the end-to-end implementation of manufacturing MES systems, from requirements definition through production rollout Design machine connectivity architecture (PLC, sensors, edge devices, historians) to collect accurate production and downtime data Ensure consistent MES logic and metrics across lines
Preferred Experience/Skills:
PLC Programming MES Programming experience a plus (PLC, SCADA, & OPC) Strong understanding of: MES concepts, Manufacturing processes and equipment, PLC-based automation and machine data collection and mapping. Strong understanding of GMP change control in a regulated environment.
Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hour
