This role drives our commitment to Zero Defects and Zero Quality Escapes while maintaining compliance with
ISO-9001, IPC
standards, and all applicable quality certifications. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in PCB manufacturing, electronic assembly processes, and mechanical downhole tool assembly, working collaboratively across Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Product Lines to continuously improve quality performance and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ). Roles and Responsibilities Maintain and oversee the site's Quality Management System, ensuring full compliance with company quality standards, ISO-9001, and all quality management certifications Develop and implement Quality Improvement Plans targeting Zero Defects, Zero Quality Escapes, and reduction of Cost of Quality (COQ) Conduct regular process audits in fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing shops, as well as functional areas including procurement, planning, and customer service Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, managing the resolution of all findings through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation Manage the complete NCR (Non-Conformance Report) process including tracking, trending, reporting, and leading Material Review Board activities Develop Quality Control Plans (QCP) to meet customer contract requirements and actively participate in contract reviews and PO statement of requirements Create and standardize procedures, quality control plans, sampling plans, inspection test plans, work instructions, and quality templates/forms Monitor NCR and CPAR data for negative trends, conduct root cause analysis, and evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions Maintain TMDE (Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment) program ensuring timely calibration of all devices and instruments Oversee document control activities and ensure compliance with all company policies, HSE standards, and Rules to Live By Collect, analyze, and summarize quality performance data in monthly quality reports for management review Interpret design engineering data including blueprints, Bills of Material, specifications, and customer requirements Perform supplier audits and vet processes for PCB fabrication houses, contract manufacturer assembly houses, and vendors specializing in obsolete semiconductors Prepare inspection test reports and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECN) as required Demonstrate effective safety leadership and maintain the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct Skills and Education 7+ years of experience with
ISO-9001
in electro/mechanical manufacturing environments 7+ years of hands-on experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) components, fabrication processes, assembly build, testing, and soldering processes (HMP, SN100C, SN96, SN63) based on IPC standards 7+ years of experience vetting processes for PCB fabrication houses, contract manufacturer assembly houses, and vendors specializing in obsolete semiconductors Strong knowledge of IPC standards, Export Compliance standards, and Hazardous Area classification standards (NEC, IEC, ATEX, etc.) Technical writing expertise with ability to create and write comprehensive process documents Experience with mechanical assembly processes of downhole tools, technical assembly, final machined drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Proficiency in failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) and root cause analysis methodologies Certification in Electronics Manufacturing Certified IPC standards specialist Certified ISO or API Q1 Lead Auditor Certified Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma Green Belt Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles #LI-KP1
