Job Description

Job Description Our industrial chemical manufacturing client is seeking a Principal Controls/Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Team for a fully on-site role in Garland, TX to support and enhance their manufacturing operations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our automated systems and electrical infrastructure. A successful candidate will possess deep expertise in industrial automation and electrical systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic, safety-driven environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Participate in the Design and Review of technical components of all project work and new projects.
  • Design, implement, and maintain electrical control systems for production and utility equipment.
  • Program PLCs (Rockwell Automation preferred), HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Lead hands-on troubleshooting (95% Rockwell Automation I/O PLC and HMI)

  • High School Diploma and 9 years' experience in a manufacturing environment OR Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and industrial networking.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools.
  • Experience with HMI development, troubleshooting industrial networks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in chemical, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with
SAP, CMMS
systems, and MES integration.
  • Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement training.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward certification.
