- Teledyne Micropac is looking for a Design Engineering Manager leads the development of electronic products and systems for aerospace, defense, and space applications.
- What you'll do
- The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: + Own technical execution for development and NPI programs.
- What you'll need
- + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
- required + Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers
- required + Strong proficiency with schematic capture and analysis tools (e.g., OrCAD, PSpice)
- required + Broad, practical understanding of multidisciplinary engineering impacts (electrical, software, mechanical, materials)
- required + Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- required + Familiarity with high‑reliability and military standards (e.g., MIL‑PRF‑19500, MIL‑PRF‑38534)
- advantage + Familiarity with multidisciplinary design and reliability analyses, including thermal, structural, optical, parts stress/PMPL, and failure‑mode analysis techniques (e.g., FMEA)
- advantage + Experience supporting NPI and development programs through production transition
- advantage + Background working with Quality, Mission Assurance, and Operations teams in regulated environments
- advantage + U.S. citizenship or US Persons Status (i.e. U.S. permanent resident) required (we do not sponsor work-related Visa's).
