Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Test Performance Engineer plays a key role in supporting engine test operations (MRO and New Production). This position is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to have successful final acceptance test, developing and managing test schedules, analyzing test performance data, and ensuring compliance. The engineer will collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, technical support, and quality teams to maximize pass-through rates and continuously improve testing efficiency and quality across all engine variants.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot engine issues uncovered during the testing process. Provide technical directions for engine rework. Track, document, and report all test outcomes, including pass/fail rates and test bench rejections, for internal and corporate reporting. Complete required documentation for airworthiness and regulatory compliance (e.g., RM2 ENR forms). Develop, schedule, and review detailed engine test plans and schedules. Attend, prepare for, and follow up on Technical Review meetings. Calculate pre-calibrations for all applicable engine assets. Maintain test cell schedules and ensure documentation is kept up to date using internal tools and storage solutions.
Required Qualifications:
This position requires access to information and hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The selected candidate must be a U.S. person or must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-controlled information and hardware. Experience with engine testing, troubleshooting in test cell environments. Strong analytical ability to interpret test data, identify anomalies, and drive investigations to resolution. Proven track record of technical troubleshooting in test cell environments. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functional teams. Knowledge of engine functionality as well as associated equipment. Familiarity with New Production and/or MRO regulatory and airworthiness requirements.
Preferred Certifications/Skills:
Relevant Mechanic Stamp(s) or Technical Support Engineering Stamp. Delegation Stamps (Level 3 or Level 4) for test cell or airworthiness operations. Experience running tests and with engine assembly
Soft Skills:
Attention to detail and thorough documentation practices. Proactive problem-solving attitude and drive for continuous improvement. Adaptability to evolving technical environments and organizational changes. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:
Primarily located in shop floor and test cells environments. Requires adherence to safety and quality protocols at all times.
