You will be the Staff Research Engineer, Cable and Harness (Level 4) for the Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) Advanced Sensors & Electronics (ASE) Campaign, focusing on the Cable & Harness (C&H) target area. Our team designs and manufactures advanced sensors and electronics solutions for Missiles and Fire Control. What You Will Be Doing As the Staff Research Engineer, Cable and Harness (Level 4) you will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of moderate‑to‑high complexity C&H projects across Lockheed Martin MFC facilities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Oversee planning and execution of C&H manufacturing projects and IRAD initiatives. Develop proposals, schedules, and technical support for current and prospective program opportunities. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, production, procurement) to ensure project milestones are met. Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with R D investment goals. Travel to multiple sites ( 30% travel) to coordinate multi‑site activities and stakeholder engagements. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related technical discipline. Proven experience in Cable & Harness manufacturing. Strong understanding of Electronics Manufacturing lifecycle. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
Desired Skills:
Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related technical discipline. Cable & Harness design experience DfM, DfX, training specific to Cable & Harness Internal Research & Development project experience Project leadership or project management training/certification Industry engagement with IPC, ASQ, SMTA, etc. Automation of Cable & Harness manufacturing Circuit Card Assembly or Box Level Enclosure experience

Work Remotely:
Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
