Calls will not be returned. We are seeking an Engineer I for our direct client in Houston, TX for a 1-year contract with possible extension. This is an entry level position. The main function of an Engineer is to design, develop, and implement technical solutions that meet project and operational requirements. A typical Engineer is responsible for applying engineering principles, conducting analysis, and supporting the execution of engineering projects across various disciplines.
Responsibilities:
Develop and revise standards, specifications and design criteria to be used by utilizing MicroStation CAD software. Ensure design adherence to applicable internal standards and procedures, and ensure compliance with external code requirements (NESC, ANSI, ASTM, IEEE, ERCOT, NERC, etc.). Design and develop systems, components, or processes based on project specifications and requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning and execution. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings to communicate engineering concepts. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing effective solutions.
Requirements:
Work onsite in Houston, TX Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology 0 2 years of experience in Engineering Microstation or AutoCAD experience Utility experience helpful. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the discipline. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and data. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of industry standards and engineering best practices helpful.
