As a process engineer in our metals and materials group, you will lead the development and deployment of new-to-the world chemical production processes and equipment. A successful team member will lead projects starting from the concept through design, install, integration, ramp, and handover to operations teams. What You'll Do Operate pilot plants Oversee and deploy demonstration scale facilities through the whole project lifecycle including: concept, basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation Support commercial scale design Develop operating procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance plans for large-scale chemical process equipment Support operations teams with achieving productivity and material quality targets on pilot and commercial scale systems Interface with equipment suppliers through concept development, system design, detailed design, procurement, installation, and acceptance testing Work closely with battery materials R D team for the introduction of novel materials and new process methods at commercial scale Receive and evaluate a problem statement, brainstorm and downselect solutions ensuring priority metrics (time, quality and cost) are maintained, get stakeholder buy-in, design & purchase equipment, create install instructions and lead commissioning Lead Design for a section of large capital scope (>$5MM). Develop design with cross functional team (P&ID, M&EB, Line/Equipment Sizing, modelling), drive consensus followed by FRQ submissions & following project through FAT of equipment, install and commissioning.
