Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for mechanical and electrical assembly, testing, troubleshooting and modification of control systems used in automated machinery. Performs maintenance service and repairs on production equipment including preventative maintenance. Set up and programming of PLC's, variable frequency and servo drives. Set up and programming of operator interface devices. Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels and machinery. Generation of electrical schematics and support documentation. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical failures on existing manufacturing equipment. Advanced electrical controls troubleshooting and calibration of PLCs, transducers, motor starters, relays, solenoids, I/O cards, thermocouples, sensors, power supplies, transformers and other control devices. Performs advanced conveyor troubleshooting/diagnostics and repairs. Advanced hydraulic/pneumatic repairs and troubleshooting.
Qualifications Experience, Skills & Education:
Requires 7+ years of experience in the industrial manufacturing field or in a related area. 7+ years electrical troubleshooting and system diagnostics. 3+ years PLC programming and debugging. Proficient in the use of test equipment such as Multi-meter, Megohmmeter, Ammeter, oscilloscope, etc. Comprehensive understanding of Electro-mechanical components and their function(s) in automated manufacturing equipment. Proficient in the use of automation software packages such as Direct Soft, C-More Designer, Do-More Designer, Motion Works, etc. (or a combination of other Industrial Automation Software). Advanced PLC, Electrical Controls, VFD, and servo systems experience. Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD. Expert electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment up to 480VAC.
