Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Perform digital manufacturing and virtual assembly reviews using Siemens Teamcenter Visualization tools, including:
  • Teamcenter Visualization Mockup
  • Teamcenter Lifecycle Visualization Jack (Visualization Jack)
  • Conduct 3D Digital Mock-Up (DMU) analysis to support product and process development activities.
  • Execute virtual manufacturing assessments including:
  • Clearance and interference analysis
  • Hand and tool accessibility studies
  • Static assembly sequence validation
  • Ergonomic and manikin-based evaluations
  • Analyze and interpret 3D CAD and JT models to assess manufacturability, serviceability, and assembly feasibility.
  • Support manufacturing engineering teams with process validation, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review and validate assembly processes, tooling concepts, fixtures, and operator interactions within virtual environments.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, Ergonomics, and Plant Operations teams to identify and resolve assembly concerns early in the product development cycle.
  • Develop technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate analysis results, identified risks, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  • Support process development activities involving:
  • Assembly fixtures
  • Tightening tools
  • Lifting and material handling devices
  • Manufacturing support equipment
  • Participate in design reviews and cross-functional meetings to ensure product designs meet manufacturing, ergonomic, and safety requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on:
  • Manufacturability
  • Ergonomics
  • Operator safety
  • Assembly efficiency
  • Cost reduction Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Manufacturing, Virtual Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering, or Product Development within the automotive, heavy equipment, aerospace, or manufacturing industry.
  • Hands-on experience with: o Siemens Teamcenter Visualization Mockup o Teamcenter Lifecycle Visualization Jack (Jack) o Digital Mock-Up (DMU) analysis
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly operations, tooling, fixtures, and operator workstations.
  • Experience conducting clearance, interference, accessibility, and ergonomic studies.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze 3D CAD and JT models.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross- functional collaboration skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience with automotive vehicle development programs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing simulation, virtual validation, and human factors engineering.
