seeks aSr Manufacturing Engineer in Seguin, TX responsible for manufacturing equipment and processes by monitoring equipment performance and responding to production equipment breakdowns, help diagnose faults, determine root causes and repair. Give direction to maintenance technicians on troubleshooting and repairing machinery and work with suppliers (automation, machine shops, component vendors, reps). Prepare and maintain process documentation, including matrix setup, parameter cards, work instructions, and process guides. Prepare and maintain equipment documentation:
setup, schematics, operating guides, spare parts lists, troubleshooting guides, maintenance procedures. Select components for industrial automation with the purpose of repairing, modifying, and improving equipment. Plan and conduct process characterizations, and design & implement equipment modifications (mechanical, electrical & software). Drive activities and projects to improve OEE, MTBF, MTTR, scrap and FPY via problem solving and process optimization. Support day-to-day manufacturing process issues and ensure advanced manufacturing line problem solving related to manufacturing process related defects. Plan and undertake scheduled equipment maintenance and perform equipment and process setup and validation. Implement corrective actions and provide feedback on equipment and process related topics. Support the introduction of new models and products into assembly line and develop and procure tooling. Support TPM program by providing mentoring and training to peers, technicians, and operator personnel. Qualified applicants must have a Bachelors Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a foreign equivalent. Qualified applicants must have two (2) years of experience as an industrial engineer, manufacturing, process engineer, or a substantially similar position, in the following 1) Utilizing problem solving skills and techniques: 5whys, DMAIC, Ishikawa diagram; LEAN Manufacturing 2) Knowledge of Minitab statistical software, 3D CAD modeling, using AutoCAD, Solidworks, and inventor; 3) Using PLC programming in ladder logic, HMI programming Allen Bradley; 4) operating and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment; 5) interpretating mechanical drawings, pneumatics, and electrical schematics
