you will be responsible for delivering high‑performance structural solutions for advanced fighter aircraft.

Your responsibilities will include:

Perform and review airframe structural configuration layouts and detail designs, including structural layouts, preliminary sizing, joint layouts, and part design using CATIA v5 with metallic and composite materials. Execute and review changes to CATIA models, drawings, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Coordinate integration for structures and systems design, collaborating across disciplines. Design and BTP release of external tanks, pylons, and pods for the F‑35, F‑22, and F‑16 platforms. Who You Are You are a collaborative, detail‑oriented engineer with proven experience in structural design using CATIA, and a strong grasp of metallic and composite materials. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment, translating concepts into manufacturable solutions, and you understand the critical nature of defense aerospace programs. Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical
• Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
• Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with

Fibersim

• Experience with metallic and composite design
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
