The Lead Production Project Engineer provides enterprise-level leadership in the planning, development, and execution of capital and production engineering initiatives across the supply chain network. This role leads complex, cross-functional projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with operational strategy, safety standards, and financial objectives. The position also owns the development and advancement of manufacturing data systems that support supply chain operations. This includes establishing strategies, tools, and analytical capabilities—including the application of AI—to enable world-class manufacturing through effective project execution, data collection, and performance analysis. Working in close partnership with plant leadership, maintenance teams, site Production Project Engineers, and Production Operations, this role drives improvements in equipment capability, operational efficiency, and execution standards while establishing scalable best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities:
Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of capital and production engineering initiatives that drive measurable improvements in manufacturing performance across the Supply Chain network Provide leadership and oversight for complex capital projects including equipment replacement, new product or package introductions, automation initiatives, and capacity expansions Own end-to-end project delivery, including scope definition, capital justification, bid management, vendor selection, project scheduling, and implementation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Serve as the accountable leader for project financial performance, managing CAPEX budgets and ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle Establish and advance data-driven manufacturing strategies through the development of analytical tools and systems, including the application of AI and advanced data analytics to support operational decision-making Drive the adoption and capability of data utilization across operations, leveraging sources such as downtime tracking systems, process centerlines, quality data, and production reporting to identify opportunities and eliminate losses Identify risks, resolve technical and operational challenges, and ensure timely issue resolution to maintain project momentum and operational continuity Oversee OEMs, system integrators, and service providers to ensure effective integration of equipment, processes, and manufacturing data systems Partner with production, maintenance, and warehouse teams at all organizational levels to translate operational data into actionable improvement initiatives Evaluate and implement emerging technologies (e.g., vision systems, automation, monitoring platforms) to improve process visibility, equipment performance, and operational reliability Establish and maintain strong partnerships with The Coca-Cola Company/CCNA and other Coca-Cola bottlers to identify, evaluate, and implement industry best practices Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field required Master's Degree Master's Degree or MBA preferred preferred 4+ years of leadership experience in Project Management, Engineering, or Operations Management required 2+ years Demonstrated experience leading complex capital or operational improvement projects in a manufacturing environment required Strong technical understanding of engineering specifications including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, water systems, automation, and industrial controls Ability to leverage data and analytics to drive project outcomes and operational decisions Knowledge of city, state, and regulatory compliance requirements related to industrial facilities Experience with Integrated Work Systems (IWS) or similar operational excellence frameworks preferred Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Familiarity with ISO quality systems and safety standards Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety requirements Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills Strong organizational, planning, and project management capabilities Ability to travel up to 40% Come and join our Sparkling team!
