Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Phased Array Antenna Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced phased array antenna systems. This role involves electromagnetic modeling, beamforming design, and integration with RF front-end systems for high-performance applications such as radar. The ideal candidate has master's degree or doctorate in electrical engineering, or similar technical degree. As well as 7+ years of experience. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of phased array antennas (active and passive arrays) Perform electromagnetic (EM) simulations using tools such as HFSS Design antenna elements, array architectures, feed networks, and beamforming systems Develop and optimize beam steering, sidelobe control, and array calibration techniques Collaborate with RF, microwave, digital signal processing (DSP), and systems engineering teams Conduct link budget analysis and system-level performance evaluations Oversee prototyping, testing, integration and validation of antenna systems in lab and field environments Analyze measurement data and refine designs based on performance results Ensure designs meet regulatory, environmental, and reliability requirements Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership Design PCA's that have RF, digital, and power functions Support board bring-up, debugging, and validation Develop scripts for test automation, data analysis, antenna and RF performance evaluation Perform various antenna and RF lab measurements
Requirements:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (PhD a preferred) 7+ years of experience in antenna design, with strong focus on phased arrays Deep understanding of: o Electromagnetics and antenna theory o Phased array principles (beam steering, grating lobes, mutual coupling) o RF/microwave circuit design Hands-on experience with EM simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST, FEKO) Experience with measurement equipment (network analyzers, anechoic chambers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators) Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for modeling and data analysis Experience performing antenna and RF measurement using typical tools such as anechoic chambers, near-field measurements, VNA's, spectrum analyzers etc. Experience with schematic capture and layout tools, preferably Altium
