Role Description We are looking for a highly driven Sr. Capital Projects Engineer - Manufacturing and Automation to lead impactful engineering initiatives inside a fast-growing nutraceutical manufacturing operation. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, leading capital projects from concept to startup, and implementing automation and process improvements that directly improve operational performance. You'll work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and IT to deliver scalable manufacturing solutions in a regulated cGMP environment. If you thrive in fast-paced manufacturing settings and enjoy combining hands-on engineering with strategic improvement initiatives, we'd love to connect. This is a full-time, on-site position based in West Valley City, UT. What you will do Lead capital projects from planning and equipment selection through installation, startup, and validation Improve manufacturing efficiency, equipment reliability, and production performance Support automation projects including packaging systems, PLCs, HMIs, and manufacturing controls Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and increase OEE Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes across blending, encapsulation, tableting, and packaging Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and IT to deliver manufacturing improvements Ensure engineering projects comply with cGMP, safety, and validation requirements Support equipment qualification activities including
IQ/OQ/PQ
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Experience leading capital projects and equipment installations Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience improving manufacturing processes and operational efficiency Prior experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industry is a plus.
