BCS Allegient has a 35-year history of helping government, research, and private sector clients implement their programs and missions to achieve success. We offer a breadth of professional support services in the areas of business management, communications, systems engineering, analysis, mission execution, and organization performance. BCS Allegient is looking to hire a Jr. Program Engineer to support our team at the Office of Naval Research in Arlington, VA. As a Jr. Program Engineer, you will provide critical support to Program Officers who are managing the next generation of naval capabilities. In this role, you will apply your technical background to assist in the entire lifecycle of advanced S&T programs—from strategic planning and initial concepts to technology assessment and eventual transition to the warfighter. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, engineering, and program management, directly contributing to the U.S. Navy's technological advantage. The ideal candidate will have a background in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Material Science and a passion for technology development and national security.
Job Requirements:
Security Clearance:
Must possess a current SECRET security clearance.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, or a closely related technical field.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in science & technology, defense acquisition, or technical program management. The following substitution will be considered: A Master's degree in a relevant technical field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience, requiring a minimum of one (1) year of professional experience.
Communication:
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical and programmatic issues clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to senior executive audiences.
Desired Qualifications Advanced Clearance:
An active
TOP SECRET / SCI
clearance.
Certifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP), DAWIA Level I/II in Program Management, or Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM).
Experience:
Prior experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of the Navy (DON) environment.
Acquisition Knowledge:
Familiarity with the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) and Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
