Math Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Design custom assemblies utilizing a variety of materials [typically foams, hard plastic, and aluminum], fasteners, and off-the-shelf containers Create documentation and build plans for a designer's own work Interface with customers and sales to identify the important parameters of the design and discover the ideal design intent Collaborate with production staff to help troubleshoot designs or add clarity to build plans Continued creation and maintenance of an extensive design library Limited operation of machinery required of our production process [mainly waterjet]
Preferred Qualifications:
Education or on-the-job training with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD program 1+ year's experience in manufacturing, whether it be hands-on in production or in design High school graduate, minimum, with an aptitude for math Computer-literate; someone who can learn programs new to them with relative ease Personable and effective communication skills; someone who is comfortable working/communicating with all departments within the company and with customers Good spatial awareness We're a company that has grown steadily over the last 20+ years and are looking to add another creative, hard-working person to our design team. Located in the Pacific NW means we work with a lot of tech and aerospace companies, so our designers get to see and design for a lot of interesting products.
