Job Description:
Junior Manufacturing Engineer
  • Metal Fabrication ???? Beloit, WI | On-Site | Direct Hire | $70,000
  • $80,000 About the Opportunity A well-established, American-made manufacturer in Beloit, WI is looking for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a hands-on, floor-based role at a company that has invested heavily in their facility and manufacturing capabilities
  • brand new, state-of-the-art production environment with active capital projects and real engineering work to own.
This is not a desk job. Approximately 60% of your time will be spent on the production floor working directly with operators, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting process improvements. If you are mechanically inclined, like getting your hands dirty, and want to actually learn manufacturing from the ground up

No travel required. Fully on-site in Beloit. What You'll Be Doing Supporting existing manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency targets are met Developing and maintaining work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation Collecting and analyzing production data including scrap, cycle time, and downtime Participating in troubleshooting production issues and assisting with root cause analysis Helping implement process improvements under the guidance of senior engineers Supporting new equipment and product introductions
  • process setup and documentation Creating 2D AutoCAD layouts and assisting with fixture design Coordinating with production and quality teams to resolve day-to-day manufacturing issues Assisting in time studies and workflow analysis Spending approximately 60% of your time on the production floor What We're Looking For Engineering degree
  • Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Process, or Automation Engineering preferred; Associates degree may be considered with strong manufacturing aptitude Comfortable spending the majority of your day on the production floor
  • this is non-negotiable Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment Hands-on personality
  • if you like fixing cars, building things, or working with your hands outside of work, you will fit right in here Metal fabrication or metal manufacturing background is strongly preferred
  • candidates from plastic or non-metal environments may not be the right fit for this role Basic AutoCAD experience is a plus Self-starter who does not need constant direction and can figure things out independently Why This Role Brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility

This role requires genuine comfort on the production floor and a hands-on, get-it-done mentality. Candidates from plastic or non-metal manufacturing environments are unlikely to be considered.
