Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer converts our customer's wants and needs into devices to be built or sourced by our company. Projects are managed from inception through manufacturing launch using CAD tools, suppliers, tool makers, and by meeting Regulatory and Quality System requirements.
Responsibilities:
Work with core and new customers on Design for Manufacturing and tool development. Work with supplier/partners providing services and filling in-house capability gaps. Works with manufacturing staff directing launch activities. Accurately maintain documents and manage projects.
Job Activities:
Meeting and working with customers and suppliers. Developing manufacturing documents, instructions, and process validations. Launching products and processes and new equipment. Design of tools, fixtures, and assembly processes. Develop and prime supply pipeline for new projects and renewals. Continuous Improvement activities. Quoting of new projects. Direct preventative maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
This position requires: BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience in Manufacturing and Quality Methods. A spatial aptitude and Experience in 3D CAD and MS-Windows Applications. Interpersonal and communication skills; Detail oriented and ability to organize and execute multiple tasks. 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required. Plastics, injection molding, and or thermoforming experience is desirable.
