Job Description
Project Manager responsible for leading cross-functional projects from quoting through production handoff for injection molding programs. Job Requirements Several years of experience leading cross-functional teams through program launch Experience managing projects from quoting stage through production handoff Experience using project management systems and tools Experience managing multiple projects at the same time Experience with timeline management tools such as MS Project, Gantt charts, or equivalent Experience managing suppliers, including mold makers and material suppliers Experience managing project budgets Experience reviewing part designs for draft, side-actions, and basic manufacturability requirements Understanding of injection mold tooling Understanding of mold features related to part geometry Understanding of basic mold construction and mold design review Experience with medical molding Experience in the medical market Understanding of manufacturing processes and Advanced Product Quality Planning Preferred Skills Silicone molding experience LSR or LIM molding experience Experience with Design of Experiments Experience with capability studies Understanding of the "steel safe" concept Experience with automation concepts, including press robots and automated assembly equipment Experience evaluating cost impact of manufacturing and tooling options Experience supporting training for technical or production personnel Job Responsibilities Lead cross-functional project teams from quoting through production handoff Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, suppliers, and deliverables Develop and maintain project timelines using MS Project, Gantt charts, or equivalent tools Coordinate supplier activities with mold makers, material suppliers, and related vendors Review part designs for moldability, draft, side-actions, and basic design requirements Review mold designs for construction basics, mold features, and geometry-related tooling considerations Support injection molding programs for medical components Support silicone molding, LSR, or LIM programs when applicable Apply APQP methods during program planning and launch Support DOEs, capability studies, and related validation or process development activities Evaluate tooling, automation, and manufacturing options based on cost and project impact Support automation planning involving press robots and automated assembly equipment Track and resolve project issues from quoting through production launch Coordinate production handoff activities with manufacturing and quality teams Support personnel training related to project processes, tooling, or production launch requirements
