Job Description:
Job Summary Seeking an experienced manufacturing or automation professional to teach and mentor students in advanced manufacturing, including automation, robotics, motor controls, and PLCs. This role emphasizes hands-on instruction, workforce development, and supporting industry training initiatives. No prior teaching experience required-training is provided. Key Responsibilities Teach hands-on courses in automation, PLCs, robotics, and manufacturing systems Support the development of advanced manufacturing programs aligned with industry needs Guide students through real-world manufacturing and process improvement projects Partner with industry to assess training needs, deliver workshops, and support upskilling initiatives Assist businesses with implementing automation and smart manufacturing strategies Engage students through outreach, career exploration, and STEM events Qualifications Associate degree or higher in a related field 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, PLCs, robotics, or motor controls Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and troubleshooting Effective communication skills and interest in mentoring Preferred (Not Required) Experience with training or curriculum development Familiarity with major PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) Relevant certifications in manufacturing, automation, or robotics Core Skills PLC programming, robotics, motor controls, industrial automation, smart manufacturing concepts, and technical troubleshooting
