Full-Time, Exempt About the Role The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes to support safe, efficient, and highquality production. This role provides midlevel engineering expertise, leads continuous improvement initiatives, supports new product introduction, and serves as a technical resource for operations, maintenance, and quality teams. Please click on the link below to complete the survey: API Heat Transfer (culture index) Key Responsibilities Process Engineering & Optimization Analyze current manufacturing processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow maps. Design and optimize tools, fixtures, and equipment used in production. Technical Support Provide daytoday engineering support for production lines, including troubleshooting equipment issues, evaluating nonconformances, and resolving process deviations. Partner with Quality to conduct root cause analyses (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Project & CI Leadership Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies. Coordinate trials, tests, and validation activities for new processes, materials, or equipment. Collaborate crossfunctionally on costreduction, cycletime reduction, and throughput improvement initiatives. Product Introduction (NPI) Support the introduction of new or updated products into manufacturing by defining process requirements, creating work instructions, and ensuring successful production ramp-up. Safety & Compliance Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Participate in risk assessments, PFMEAs, and ergonomics reviews. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Proven experience improving manufacturing processes and solving complex technical problems. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and communicate technical information effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience in metal fabrication, welding, brazing, or heat exchanger manufacturing environments. Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading. Experience with PLC-controlled machinery and equipment troubleshooting. Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean certification, or comparable training. Familiarity with PFMEA, control plans, and structured problem-solving tools (8D, A3).
