Job Description:
Arnold Magnetic Technologies - Technology Center At the Arnold Magnetics Technology Center, we design and build high-performance electric motor components for some of the most demanding applications in the world — from aerospace and defense to motorsport and academic research. Our Technology Center is a small, fast-moving engineering lab where ideas become working prototypes. We're looking for an Assembly Technician who enjoys precision work, creative problem-solving, and seeing their craftsmanship come to life in cutting-edge hardware. What You'll Do Hands-On Assembly & Fabrication Perform stator coil insertions, lamination stacking, and permanent-magnet assembly. Assemble, test, and debug prototype and pre-production components. Use hand tools and precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, Gaussmeters, Fluxmeters, etc.) to verify tolerances and performance. Process & Documentation Follow and improve assembly and testing work instructions according to quality standards. Record build data, test results, and observations with high attention to detail. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work closely with other engineers to refine designs and manufacturing methods. Design or modify tooling and fixtures to support prototype builds. Participate in design reviews and provide hands-on feedback from the build process. What We're Looking For Required 2- or 4-year technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience. Skilled at working with small components and fine wiring within tight tolerances. Demonstrated craftsmanship, precision, and pride in producing high-quality work. Comfortable reading drawings and technical instructions. Basic CAD or 3D modeling experience. Preferred Familiarity with electromagnetic assemblies, motor winding, or electrical testing. Curiosity about how things work and eagerness to learn new techniques. Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or R D environments.
