Full-time, 40 hours/week, Summer 2026 Mayville Engineering Company (MEC) is a leading provider of custom metal fabrication solutions, partnering with top OEMs to deliver innovative, high-quality products. We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the summer to support key engineering initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. At MEC, interns gain real-world experience working on meaningful projects that impact our operations and customers. You'll be supported by experienced professionals, exposed to modern manufacturing technologies, and have the opportunity to build skills that support your academic and career goals. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support manufacturing and quality functions through hands-on project work and day-to-day engineering activities. This role provides exposure to multiple areas of manufacturing engineering while working closely with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Support manufacturing engineering projects tied to specific departments and new business initiatives Spend a portion of time assisting in the Quality Lab Develop and maintain documentation, including work instructions Conduct time studies and analyze processes to improve efficiency Assist with cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Support creation of quote sheets for manufacturing cells Assist functional staff with routine and project-related tasks Complete assigned portions of larger engineering and process improvement projects Qualifications Job Skills Requirements Working knowledge of computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office) Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Educational Requirements Enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldSimilar remote jobs
