Job Description Milwaukee, Wisconsin Pay $85-$95K Join a leading precision component manufacturer to develop and optimize cutting-edge production processes. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and oversee advanced machining workflows to ensure the highest standards of product quality. As a key Manufacturing Engineer on our client's team, you will collaborate cross-functionally to streamline operations from initial concept through final delivery. Develop and implement standardized operating procedures and efficient manufacturing processes for new and existing products. Optimize production processes using Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste, enhance throughput, and lower production costs. Design specialized fixtures and manufacturing improvements utilizing 3D CAD software. Analyze product designs to provide critical DFM (Design for Manufacturability) recommendations to engineering and quality teams. Execute root cause analysis for product defects, implementing robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed work instructions, engineering change records, and process flow diagrams. Collaborate as a primary liaison between engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure strict adherence to project timelines and specifications.
Requirements Education:
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a CNC / machine shop environment.
Technical Expertise:
Minimum of 2 years in an engineering or technical role within manufacturing, featuring proven skills in CNC programming, work holding, and tool selection.
Software/Tools:
Proficiency with 3D CAD platforms and experience utilizing ERP software.
Industry Standards:
Practical experience working with quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 and standard QC inspection protocols.
Additional Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with measurement tools, hand tools, and power tools; knowledge of molding/casting, grinding, and finishing processes is highly desirable.
