Other duties may be assigned. Works with Value Stream team to identify and apply continuous improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. Supports senior engineers in research, design and development of manufacturing processes including welding schedules, production flow, assembly methods, production equipment and machining. Project management of identified capital equipment projects Applies failure analysis to determine root causes of problems and failures and develops solutions or recommends changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods. Evaluates equipment requirements, performs cost analyses, and proposals for integrating machinery and equipment into manufacturing process. Coordinates all pre-production activities including sample evaluation, design qualification and prototype production. Provides documentation and detailed drawings for manufacturing and assembly of materials, assemblies, and finished products. Prepares documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures. Proficient with design software to perform engineering and design tasks. Contributes to the development and implementation of best practice Lean vision, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Assist technicians and/or maintenance with troubleshooting, building and/or assembly of various machines and equipment as necessary.
Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Experience with and knowledge of solid modeling, SolidWorks or AutoCAD engineering design software, and engineering materials and their properties. Active Listening

Education and/or
Experience:
