Job Description
Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer plays a hands-on role in supporting shop floor operations and assembly functions. This individual is responsible for creating and refining machine and process documentation, while working closely with internal teams to enhance efficiency and product quality. Acting as a bridge across departments, this role helps ensure designs translate effectively into production, challenges are addressed quickly, and improvements are consistently executed. Core Responsibilities Produce and update clear, user-friendly process documentation for machining and assembly activities Initiate and manage engineering change documentation, ensuring accuracy and proper implementation Partner with engineering, operations, and service teams to maintain consistent and high-quality technical documentation Facilitate communication across departments by organizing meetings, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-through Provide day-to-day support to manufacturing by identifying and resolving production challenges Contribute to ongoing process optimization and efficiency improvements Participate actively in workplace safety initiatives, including safety committee involvement Ensure all procedures and updates align with established quality standards and compliance requirements Qualifications & Experience Associate or bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical support role Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented problem solver with experience developing technical instructions (written and visual) Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills Experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CAD tools such as Inventor or other 3D modeling software About the Company Paper Machinery Corporation, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of paperboard forming equipment.
