Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Excellence Project Engineer I to join our dynamic team in the food and beverage manufacturing sector. In this role, you will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects focused on high-speed manufacturing processes. Your project management skills and technical knowledge will be essential in ensuring that all initiatives meet our high standards for quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets for high-speed food and beverage manufacturing initiatives. Resource Coordination :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and safety, to ensure alignment with project objectives. Technical Support :
Provide engineering support during the design phase, including developing manufacturing specifications and evaluating equipment requirements. Quality Control :
Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines, maintaining the highest quality standards. Troubleshooting :
Identify and resolve engineering and operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Documentation :
Prepare project-related documents, including specifications, testing protocols, and progress reports, ensuring clear communication among stakeholders. Process Improvement :
Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent technical experience. 1-3 years of experience in project engineering or manufacturing, preferably within the food and beverage industry. Familiarity with high-speed manufacturing processes and food safety regulations is preferred. Proficiency in CAD software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment Willing to work off-shifts, including weekends as needed for new equipment installations Hours, Location and Pay:
We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This role works standard business hours Monday - Friday at our Neenah, WI manufacturing facility. Occasional off-shift or weekend hours may be required to support business needs. Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
