Job Description
The Operational Excellence Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement and elevating operational performance across the site. You will lead initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability through structured problem-solving, standardization, data-driven decision-making, and effective change management. You will be onsite in Oak Creek, WI and will report to the Operational Excellence Leader. Responsibilities:
Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across the site Apply Lean tools such as A3, root cause analysis, 5S, visual management, flow, and pull systems Drive process standardization and sustain daily management systems (KPIs, visual controls, routines) Facilitate kaizen events, value stream mapping, and cross-functional workshops Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS teams Train and mentor employees on Lean principles and problem-solving methods Support change management and sustain operational improvements Track and communicate performance metrics and improvement resultsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field 5+ years of manufacturing, operations, engineering, or continuous improvement experience Strong experience with Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to influence teams and work closely with operations Proficient in Excel; Power BI experience is a plus About us:PPG:
