The Manufacturing Engineer collaborates with our Engineering and Production Leadership teams to review, modify, improve and implement manufacturing methods, processes and equipment with a focus on safety, quality, cost, productivity, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides daily manufacturing support, including troubleshooting manufacturing issues. Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency. Support equipment maintenance and repair, ensuring that manufacturer's procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational. Update component and assembly drawings and documents. Develop process routings and create ECR's. Conduct cycle time studies and implement process improvements to reduce costs. Participate in new product launch and assist and/or establish new part process and parameters. Support other Engineering Team projects as needed. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR KEY
REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or other related engineering field. 0-2 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable of machining processes, tolerances and tooling; six sigma concepts and/or lean manufacturing techniques a plus. Understanding of engineering, geometric and algebraic principles. Computer literate with demonstrated working knowledge and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Solidworks, Solid Edge, and Autocad. Experience with Epicor ERP a plus. Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving and critical thinking ability. Demonstrated high attention to detail. Ability to organize information for use in drawings or other documents. Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills, with ability to present issues, plans, objectives and solutions. Ability to work independently and with a team.
