Manufacturing Engineer - Lead Are you a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who loves improving processes, solving problems, and making production run smarter and faster? We're looking for someone who enjoys being on the plant floor as much as they enjoy analyzing data and driving continuous improvement. In this role, you'll be the go-to manufacturing engineering leader at the site, helping shape how hydraulic cylinders are built - from machining and welding to assembly, testing, and paint. You'll work closely with production, quality, design engineering, and supply chain teams to streamline processes, support new product launches, and implement automation and lean manufacturing initiatives. What You'll Be Doing This role serves as the primary site-level manufacturing engineering leader, providing technical direction, execution oversight, and day-to-day leadership of team members. You'll lead and coordinate manufacturing activities across the plant while partnering with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and drive innovation. Expect a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on problem solving. The role will focus heavily on Designing, optimizing, and standardizing manufacturing processes across machining, welding, assembly, testing, and paint operations Leading lean manufacturing and Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives to improve flow, productivity, and throughout Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensuring manufacturing readiness for successful product launches Driving automation and robotics initiatives to modernize operations Managing site capital projects and helping prioritize equipment investments Maintaining engineering data such at BOMs, routings, cycle times, and tooling documentation Partnering with production teams to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrections Tracking and improving KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and cost Developing SOPs, work instructions, and training production teams What We're Looking For We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who brings strong technical depth, leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. Core Background Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering 7+ years of experience in an industrial or heavy equipment environment Experience leading or coordinating manufacturing/process engineering teams Strong knowledge of machining, CNC processes, welding, assembly, and plant operations Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, and root cause analysis Comfort working with CAD tolls such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and interpreting GD&T and engineering drawings Experience working in
ISO 9001
environments Highly Valued Experience Hydraulic systems or hydraulic cylinder manufacturing Automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle Certifications such as CMfgE, Six Sigma, or PMP Why This Role Is Exciting This is a highly visible role where your ideas and leadership directly impact plant performance and future manufacturing strategy.
