Job Title:
Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to provide comprehensive support in production, process engineering, and quality management. The role involves hands-on engineering support for press brakes and laser cutting equipment, ensuring all processes meet safety, quality, and productivity standards. Responsibilities Provide hands-on engineering support for press brakes and laser cutting equipment. Troubleshoot machine, tooling, setup, and quality issues. Maintain and improve work instructions, setup sheets, and SOPs. Assist operators and supervisors with technical guidance and process improvements. Create and maintain routings, BOMs, and process documentation. Optimize laser cutting parameters and material utilization. Improve press brake forming processes, tooling, and setups. Identify and implement cost, quality, and throughput improvements. Review customer drawings to support accurate quoting. Develop labor, machine time, and material estimates. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance on competitive quotes. Support launch of new fabrication jobs. Validate processes through first-article and trial runs. Ensure documentation, tooling, and programs are ready for production release. Investigate nonconformances and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in a fabrication or metal manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with press brakes and laser cutting machines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Manufacturing engineering expertise. Process improvement capabilities. Experience in fabrication and process engineering. Work Environment The position is set in a dynamic manufacturing environment, requiring hands-on interaction with machinery and equipment. The role involves collaboration across various departments, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to ensure a seamless production process and competitive quoting. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sheboygan, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
