Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Machine Technician to join our manufacturing facility team. As a Machine Technician, you will be the backbone of our production floor. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our specialized candle manufacturing equipment, including automated wax melters, wick-insertion machines, multi-head liquid fillers, and high-speed labeling/packaging lines. Your technical expertise will directly impact our efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure every candle meets our strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Setup & Calibration:
Prepare and configure production machinery for daily runs, adjusting settings for different candle sizes, vessel types, and wax formulas.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues on active production lines to minimize downtime.
Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance tasks (lubrication, part replacements, belt adjustments, filter cleanings) according to scheduled maintenance logs.
Line Efficiency Optimization:
Monitor machine performance and fine-tune automated processes to ensure maximum throughput and minimal product waste.
Changeovers:
Efficiently execute tooling and equipment changeovers between different product runs.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
2+ years of experience as a maintenance or machine technician in a manufacturing, bottling, or packaging environment (experience with liquid filling, cosmetics, food/beverage, or chemical processing is a huge plus).
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience troubleshooting pneumatic systems, conveyors, pumps, and automated filling equipment. Basic understanding of PLCs and electrical sensors is required.
Detail-Oriented:
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical schematics.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work comfortably in an environment that handles hot liquids (molten wax) and strong fragrances.
Problem-Solving:
A proactive mindset with the ability to think critically and solve mechanical issues under production deadlines.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
