Ford Heavy Line Technician Job Responsibilities Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and related systems Perform advanced mechanical repairs and troubleshooting Use manufacturer diagnostic tools to identify complex issues Document diagnostic procedures and repairs accurately Work closely with service advisors to explain repair needs and recommendations Follow manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Participate in ongoing Ford and Lincoln technical training Ford Heavy Line Technician Compensation and Benefits The Heavy Line Technician position is paid on a pay scale that may include one or more of the following compensation elements: Hourly compensation , which varies based on experience, certifications, skill level, and performance Production‑based incentive compensation , which may be earned based on individual and/or team productivity Retention‑based incentive compensation , which may be earned based on hours produced The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $33.80 to $173.00 per hour . Actual compensation within this range will be determined by job‑related factors such as experience, qualifications, performance, and business needs. Incentive and bonus compensation are not guaranteed and may be zero if applicable benchmarks are not met.
