Full Job Description Description:
The Production Support Technician provides flexible, hands-on support across the Packing Room and Quality Control department. The primary focus is monitoring and inspecting products in real time during packing production to ensure quality standards are met — along with basic QC lab support, packing line support, and routine data entry to keep production and quality records accurate. Daily assignments are determined by operational size and workload, and all work is performed under the close supervision of senior staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performing Line QC by monitoring and inspecting products in real time during packing production.
  • Ensuring adherence to packing and assembly line standards, approved packaging specifications,Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Recording Line QC inspection results, summarizing reworks and waste, and performing accurate dataentry into production and quality records and logs.
  • Reviewing approved specifications and work instructions to verify that packed and manufactured goods conform to requirements.
  • Accurately entering test results, line observations, and packing data into batch records and logs in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory standards.
  • Supporting the batch documentation process for packing and QC operations, ensuring accurate andtimely completion of records under the review of senior staff.
  • Assisting with packing room production activities as required.
  • Assisting QC lab staff with routine tests of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products following established SOPs.
  • Promptly reporting product defects, deviations, and non-conforming products observed during Line QC, lab testing, or packing operations to the Production Manager and senior QC staff for evaluation.
  • Monitoring packing line equipment use and supporting environmental monitoring activities, including temperature and humidity logging.
  • Assisting senior staff with verifying the correct calibration of inspection and packing equipment, and helping to collect and compile basic statistical quality data.
  • Demonstrating flexibility to shift between Line QC, QC lab support, packing support, and data entry based on daily production volume and operational needs, while adhering to all environmental, health, and safety requirements, including proper use of protective gear and proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Work under
ISO 13485
2016 (Medical device - Quality management systems) standards where applicable.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical degree, certification, or associate's/bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or related field is a plus.
  • Physical ability to comfortably lift objects up to 50 pounds and to stand for extended periods on the packing line.
  • Basic understanding of production and inspection procedures, with a willingness to learn Line QC techniques, packing procedures, and inspection methods through on-the-job training.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Good documentation and data entry skills, with the ability to follow written procedures and record information accurately and legibly.
  • Basic awareness of FDA, ISO, and GMP guidelines is preferred; working knowledge of PC applications(e.g., Excel, data entry systems) is a plus
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
