Job Description
Reports directly to the Winemaker and supports all cellar, harvest, bottling, and winery operations while maintaining safe and efficient cellar practices. Responsibilities Operate winery equipment including forklifts, pumps, presses, crushers, and other cellar machinery safely and efficiently Perform daily cellar operations including wine transfers, racking, blending, topping, filtration, barrel work, and tank preparation Maintain cellar cleanliness, sanitation, and proper equipment setup and maintenance Assist with harvest operations including fruit processing, punch-downs, pumpovers, grape sampling, and fermentation monitoringcheckssheetsWinemaker Support bottling operations including preparation, packaging, labeling, and quality Perform basic lab analysis and assist with sample collection, recordkeeping, and tech Monitor inventory of cellar supplies, lab materials, and production consumables Assist with vineyard tasks, winery events, and other operational needs as assigned Identify operational or wine quality issues and communicate them promptly to the Help coordinate daily cellar workflow and priorities with the winemaking teamQualifications Minimum 2 years of winery cellar or production experience Forklift experience required (certification preferred) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly Valid California driver's license Must be 21 years or older https://www.bartonfamilywines.com/
